Black Sabbath is back. Today they released their first single and glimpse at new sound, “God Is Dead?” The album art (above) showcases a vandalized Friedrich Nietzsche, the philosopher that wrote the story in which a forward thinking man rushes into a church exclaiming “God is dead?!”, only to acknowledge that he “arrived too soon” in his late 1800’s book The Gay Science. (Do you see what college will do for you?) Sabbath seems inspired by the idea, producing a long, epic track visualizing the event. Nothing too far from center for the band, in a positive way. Fans of the band, rejoice. Black Sabbath’s new album 13 is set to release June 11th. Listen to the single below.
