The Flaming Lips To Collaborate With Ke$ha For New Album: LIP$HA

The Flaming Lips are doing what they’ve done best for years now: staying busy. Their latest album The Terror is set to release April 16th, a cover album of The Stone Roses’ self-titled debut is in the works, and now a collaborative effort with pop star Ke$ha.

Despite the sharp contrast in their separate material, the two artists have a unique chemistry with one another. They first collaborated on last year’s The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, in which Ke$ha provided vocals on the first track “2012 (You Must Be Upgraded)”.

Like it or not, this is the type of move you should come to expect from The Flaming Lips, who so often reach out to unknown territory to create strange and experimental projects. There is no time table set for the release of Lip$ha at the moment.

Listen to “2012 (You Must Be Upgraded)” below.
